Hello, hello!
The song featured in the chapter title, "Step On Me" by The Cardigans, is linked above.
You can additionally find it here on Spotify.
In this chapter, we resume right where we left off last time. The Happy Meals continues their street performing, and Natsumi begins her conversation with Anzu's mother on the phone. Lots of fairy tale talk in this one, for some reason.
This is our first chapter using magazine raws for "36", which means, as Nishiuma says in the comment below, there will be minor art and dialogue changes in the volume release that includes this and future chapters. We've decided that we'll be going back and making changes to the pages as needed when the volume release(s) come out. Or I decided to. I decided I'll be doing that.
Please enjoy!
Magazine Comment from Soshi Nishiuma:
Happy early New Year!! A new volume of 36 is coming out at the start of the year! As always, it has changed art and bonus pages, so check it out if you're a fan! Also, a band that I've been into lately: "the bercedes menz"! It somehow gives me this nostalgic feeling... like the echoes and smells of the stairwell landing at my old part time job! Highly recommended!
Words of Wisdom:
" just a glimpse into my sick and twisted fucked out reality that i call life, im so mysterious and cyclepathic evil demon emoji"
ー SPOEKLREIORK
"And there it goes. Yui found about the band -- presumably with assistance from Miyako -- and Anzu can do nothing more but submit. No thrashing, no kicking, no screaming. At least, none that we're allowed to hear. I'd love to give more wisdom on the Shibusawas' relationship, but... I don't think my ruler's up to snuff. "Codependent" is the best I can do for now.
What I'm the most scared about right now is Ikoma. Shunpei just had his awakening as a drummer, and Anzu is being forced back down into submission again, but Ikoma has stayed almost entirely the same. He, too, doesn't fight back against the band's falling apart; it almost feels like he's even more surrendered to the situation than Anzu is. But whereas I feel that Anzu is still struggling for her freedom somewhere deep inside... it just feels like Ikoma has already given up. Doesn't your world need instruments? Why are you so willing to surrender yourself to the flow of things...?
How the hell did they make Kishibe look even more miserable?"
